NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, Tim Younger, isn’t a stranger to the Carr family. Since 2010, the owner of Younger and Associates has represented David Carr, a former No. 1 overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. Earlier this week, Younger signed David’s younger brother, Derek, to a Standard Representation Agreement.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work with Derek,” Younger said of the veteran Fresno State quarterback. “He is a football junkie and is constantly reviewing film on an everyday basis. He is always trying to improve. Derek is the most NFL-ready quarterback in this year’s draft. He has played in two systems, both in the pro-style and in the spread, which means he’s adaptable.”
Derek Carr finished his five-year career with close to 13,000 passing yards and 113 touchdowns. He threw for 200 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Bulldogs’ 45-20 loss to USC in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Carr will be playing in the Reese’s Senior Bowl slated for January 25 in Mobile, Alabama. NFLDraftScout.com ranks Carr the No. 4 quarterback available in May’s Draft.
