Global sports and entertainment agency, Octagon, recently announced its expansion in Europe with its Basketball Division. Octagon Basketball’s European headquarters will be based in Athens, Greece.
Giorgos Dimitropoulos has been named Senior Director of Octagon Basketball Europe and will be managing player representation across the continent. Before joining Octagon Basketball, Dimitropoulos co-founded FCM Basketball
“It is an honor and a very exciting time to be part of the Octagon Basketball team,” Dimitropoulos said. “Octagon is a tremendously respected agency globally for the work it does for its clients, and I am looking forward to connecting the full breadth of Octagon’s resources throughout Octagon’s European basketball network.”
Last summer, Octagon Basketball was ranked No. 10 in the world with roughly $215 million worth of contracts under management. The group manages the careers of Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), David West (Indiana Pacers), Landry Fields (Toronto Raptors), Jimmer Fredette (Chicago Bulls) and others. In the past 30 years, Octagon Basketball has represented 50-plus first round draft picks, including two No. 1 selections.
