Atlanta-Based SportsTrust Advisors Loses Two NFL Sports Agents

Yesterday, Atlanta-based sports agency SportsTrust Advisors, which is one of the world’s top-10 most valuable football agencies, lost two of its NFLPA Certified Contract Advisors: Michael Perrett and Kevin McGuire.

The two sports agents shared roughly 20 years of experience working together at SportsTrust.  The duo is pursuing the formation of their own company, Element Sports Group.

According to SportsTrust, its “core team” — Pat Dye, Jr., Chandra Vitale, Randi Chapman, Bill Johnson and others — will remain intact as the agency represents 60 NFL players.  Some of its clients include defensive end DeMarcus Ware (Denver), running back Eddie Lacy (Green Bay), running back DeMarco Murray (Dallas), quarterback Ryan Tannehill (Miami) and others.

“Michael and I are extremely grateful to Pat Dye, Jr. for too many things to list,” McGuire said.  “We are blessed to have seen firsthand that success as an agent can be realized and sustained by doing things the right way.  We offer Pat our sincere appreciation and wish the entire SportsTrust team nothing but the best.”

Added Perrett: “After much thought and deliberation, Kevin and I have decided that it’s time for the next chapter professionally for both of us.   As we turn the page on our careers, we are extremely excited about our future as agents in football and the sports industry as a whole.

“Serving our clients in a management and marketing capacity is a passion for both of us, and we are excited to bring that experience, energy and enthusiasm into the formation of our new company, Element Sports Group.  At Element, we will continue to represent our clients with an unwavering commitment to excellence.”

Perrett recently served as the Vice President of Football at SportsTrust where he was responsible for recruiting, signing clients and negotiating team contracts.  After finishing law school in 2007, McGuire immediately joined the sports agency.  He most recently was the agency’s Vice President of Marketing, with his day-to-day duties including negotiating endorsement and marketing deals for SportsTrust’s clients.
