The National Sports and Entertainment Law Society (NSELS) is a student run society founded with a focus on organizing and centralizing sports and entertainment law societies, connecting students who want to pursue a legal career in the industries, and educating members and the general public about developments in sports and entertainment law. Membership for the society is completely free for any university to join, and joining allows all members of that organization to submit blog posts to be posted on NSELS website, advertise member schools symposiums, forums, and conferences and network with students across the country.
The executive board is comprised of esteemed 2L & 3L students from across the country. Sean Richards is the National Director of NSELS. Sean is a 3L at Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law where he also serves as President of the Penn State Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Andrew Orcutt is a third-year law student at the University of Miami School of Law focusing on Entertainment, Sports, and Intellectual Property Law and serves as the Southeast Coordinator for NSELS. Jordyn Sherman, Southwest Coordinator of NSELS, is a 2L at the University of Arkansas School of Law, where he serves as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Laura Berestecki is a second year law student at Boston College Law School and President of BC’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and serves as the Northeast Coordinator of NSELS. Ricky Volante is the Midwest Coordinator of NSELS and is a third year law student at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he serves as President of the C-M Entertainment and Sports Law Association. Yasi Sahely is a rising 2L at the University of California Hastings College of the Law and currently serves as the Internal Vice President of the Association for Communication, Sports, and Entertainment Law (ACSEL), the Communications Director for the Hastings Intellectual Property Association, and is the Pacific Coordinator for NSELS.
