rEvolution Acquires Act(s) Marketing, Becomes AOR For Continental Tire

Chicago-based, rEvolution, acquired Act(s) Marketing

The Chicago-based integrated sports marketing and media services agency, rEvolution, has acquired Indianapolis-based Act(s) Marketing, according to a press release from the company.

According to the website, rEvolution is an independent, fully-integrated sports and lifestyle marketing agency, which creates memorable, brand-building marketing programs within the sports and lifestyle space. Headquartered in Chicago, rEvolution provides clients with a full-service marketing approach, including sponsorship consulting, media planning and buying, creative production and design, experiential marketing, public relations and social media. Clients include: Polaris Industries Inc., Chipotle, ESPN, Under Armour, Goose Island, Red Bull and National Geographic Channel.

Act(s) Marketing was founded in 2008 by Garret Mudd, an established motorsports marketer who served as executive director of the Minneapolis Grand Prix, track president for Lime Rock Park, vice president of marketing for Sports Car Club of America and vice president of marketing for the Champ Car World Series. Act(S) is the official sponsorship marketing agency of record for Continental Tire in the U.S. and Canada.

Similar to rEvolution’s client Chipotle, Continental Tire currently has significant sponsorship marketing programs with Major League Soccer. Continental Tire is also a current sponsor of U.S. Soccer. Last month, Continental Tire entered a multi-year college basketball partnership, in six high-profile conferences, which includes LED signage at each home game, in-stadium activation and a targeted TV package for a total of 381 games per season.

The acquisition of Act(s) Marketing by rEvolution will lead to the creation of a new Indianapolis location. In addition to Mudd, all current Act(s) Marketing staff will be joining rEvolution in their respective client relations, experiential, hospitality and media roles.
