Description
The Sports and Entertainment Law Conference is put on by the Sports and Entertainment Law Forum [a student-run organization] at the University of Oregon School of Law. The Sports and Entertainment Law Forum (SELF) is a group for Oregon law students interested in getting involved in the world of sports and entertainment, a complex assortment of fields and specialties including negotiation, arbitration, mediation, contracts, intellectual property, antitrust, labor law, torts, and tax, just to name a few. The goal of SELF is to expand student understanding of the dynamics and issues involved with sports and entertainment law through bringing in guest legal speakers, providing forums for sports and entertainment news and discussions, organizing an annual sports and entertainment law conference, and working with the administration to develop course offerings focused on sports and entertainment law.
