Congratulations to the Golden State Warriors on winning the NBA Championship this week. The Warriors were my pre-playoff pick to win it all and anyone who follows Darren on Twitter knows he was quite happy my prediction came true. The big story in the NBA agent business this week was the announcement that the NBPA Board of Player Representatives have preliminarily approved significantly raising agent dues starting as early as next year. In other sports news, Tiger has turned in his worst major performance ever this week at the U.S Open. While I still think he’ll win at least one more, I am slowly coming to terms with the idea that he may not break Jack Nicklaus’ major wins record. Darren covered the NBPA’s increasing dues and the U.S Open’s economic impact this week on FORBES: (1) Derrick Mason Says You Want Ray Rice To Represent Your NFL Team; (2) U.S. Open: A $140 Million Bump For Chambers Bay; (3) NBA Agents Face Major Increase In Dues – Upwards Of $15,000; (4) Florida Gators Coach Jim McElwain Gives $5,000 To Former Player In Need. And here is the weekly wrap-up:
