Over the past few days veteran agent Leigh Steinberg has announced that Steinberg Sports will represent TE Steven Scheu, QB Paxton Lynch, RB Danny Vitale, RB Danny Lasco, and DE Jonathan Woodard. With these recent signings many sports business professionals and fans of the game are saying “Leigh is back!” Steinberg has represented 8 #1 NFL draft picks during his career and Memphis Tigers Quarterback Paxton Lynch could be his 9th #1 pick.
Lynch who is a Deltona, FL native is a 6’7, 245lb QB who has thrown for 8,865 yards and 59 touchdowns during his time with Memphis. This past season Lynch finished with a 66.8% completion percentage.
Scheu is an Evansville, Indiana native stands at 6’5, 245lb Tight End has earned 2015 Mackey Watch List, 2015 Senior CLASS Award Candidate, 2015 Wuerffel Trophy Candidate, and 2014 Associated Press All-SEC Tight End honors while playing for the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Running Back Danny Vitale is a Wheaton, Illinois native and has rushed for 29 yards during his career but has 1,427 receiving yards as a Northwestern Wildcat. Vitale is 6’2, 225lbs.
Cal Running Back Daniel Lasco is from The Woodlands, Texas and stands at 6’1, 205 lbs. During his time at Cal, Lasco has rushed for 1,872 yards and 18 TDs.
Central Arkansas Defensive End Woodard is from Brentwood, Tennesee standing at 6’6, 271lbs. Woodard has earned the following honors: 2014 Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year, 2014 All-SLC first team, Associated Press FCS All-American third team 2014, finalist for the 2014 Buck Buchanan Award, 2012 Southland Conference Freshman of the Year, 2012 All-SLC First Team, 2013 All-SLC First Team, second in UCA history in sacks with 25.0 and fourth in sack yards (133 yards), and school record with 3.5 sacks against SFA in 2014.
