Caric Sports Management has added one of the top Tight End prospects of the 2016 NFL Draft in Junior Austin Hooper, from Stanford University. President Steve Caric is officially listed on the Standard Representation Agreement as his agent.
The 2015 Mackey Award finalist (award for the nation’s best TE) is declaring early as after a successful season in which he was named to the All-Pac-12 first team. The 6’4 248 lb San Ramon, CA native recorded 48 catches, 438 yards, and 6 touchdowns this past season. Hooper is ranked as the #1 TE of his draft class by NFLDraftScout.com. He is currently projected to be selected in the 2nd round according to CBSSports.com.
Hooper announced his decision Monday on Twitter, writing: “After much discussion with my family and Coach Shaw, I have decided to enter the 2016 NFL draft.” Hooper is perhaps strategically joining what many consider a weak tight end class. He will look to become the eighth active Stanford alumnus to play tight end in the NFL and the school’s first tight end to be drafted since Zach Ertz and Levine Toilolo were each taken in the 2013 Draft.
Caric Sports Management adds Hooper to a client list that includes NFL players Zach Ertz, Kiki Alonso, Mason Foster, and Rishard Matthews.
