Lagardere Sports has signed rising tennis player Noah Rubin. He will be represented by Senior Vice President of Tennis Julien Cassaigne and Shane Kelley.
Following a highly-touted junior career that saw him ranked no. 6 in the world and no. 1 in the United States, Rubin continued his playing career at Wake Forest University. He entered his 2014-15 freshman season with the Demon Deacons ranked the no. 1 Division I college freshman by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). He was named an All-American and the first player in ACC history to be named both men’s tennis ACC Player and Freshman of the Year, after a 26-4 record.
In June 2015, at the age of 19, he turned pro. He made his first final on the ATP Challenger Tour at Charlottesville, defeating fellow American teenager Tommy Paul after being down two breaks in the second set. He was the only American to win an event in the Australian Open Wild Card Challenge, which awarded him a wild card into the main draw at the Australian Open. In the main draw, he stunned 17th-seeded Benoit Paire in the first round.
“I’m thrilled to take the next step in my career and partner with Lagardere Sports to represent me,” said Rubin. “With a longtime tradition of tennis and impressive global infrastructure, Lagardere Sports is a great fit to help my career both on and off the court.”
The 20-year-old Rubin is currently ranked no. 166 in the ATP rankings and rising quickly.
