Per Liz Mullen of SBJ, PGA Tour golfer John Peterson has signed with Wasserman for his representation. He was previously represented by Blue Giraffe Sports.
At Wasserman, Executive Vice President of Golf Terry Reilly, will lead the representation for Peterson, who recently returned to the PGA Tour after undergoing hand surgery this past January.
In terms of his representation, Reilly said, “We are going to be finding him corporate partners. He is a wonderful player. He won the [2011 individual] NCAA championship at LSU, and everyone holds him in high esteem.” He currently has endorsements with Under Armour for apparel and Titleist for clubs, although that deal is expiring in the next year.
The 27-year-old, Texas-native turned pro in 2011, having played in 70 events since then. He has earned $1,715,996 to this point in his PGA Tour career. He has also played in 26 events on the Web.com Tour, having earned $271,527.
In joining Wasserman, he looks to increase his off-the-course earnings through partnerships and endorsements. Given the agency’s track record, he is joining the right group.
