According to his Twitter, NFL agent Casey Muir is joining Octagon as its new Director of Football.
Muir is leaving Tier 1 Management, where he was the president and managing director of football services. Named a “rising star among the next wave of agents,” by Inside the League Muir has specialized in contract negotiations both within the sports industry and in corporate America.
Certified by both the NFLPA and CFLPA, the first two players he worked with were drafted, establishing a precedent of success for his career from an early stage.
According to Inside the League, Muir was selected by Octagon Football among two other individuals. He will join a football operation that boasts approximately 27 clients among coaches, executives, NFL legends, current players and media personnel.
In Octagon, Muir is joining one of the largest agencies in the industry. The McLean, Virginia-based agency boasts some of the biggest names in sports on its client roster including Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Carlos Santana, and Felix Hernandez among 180 others. As of September 2014, the agency has $2.43 billion under management.
