Per an article from Sports Business Journal, The Novo Agency led by Jeff Sperbeck has joined forces with Rep 1 Sports who is owned by Ryan and Bruce Tollner. Jeff Sperbeck, a veteran NFL agent began The Novo Agency in 2009. He will be joined by NFL agent Haig Abnous who was certified by the NFLPA in 2015.
Rep 1 Sports has had an impressive resume with signing top quarterbacks in the NFL draft the past few years. Their clients include Mitchell Trubisky, Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Marcus Mariota, Blake Bortles and Ben Roethlisberger. Rep 1 Sports represents more than 50 NFL players.
The clients anticipated to come with Sperbeck and Abnous are Cleveland Browns defensive tackle, Danny Shelton and Denver Broncos defensive end, Billy Winn. The timing of this merger is interesting because New England Patriots wide receiver Brandin Cooks parted ways with The Novo Agency earlier this year and is now represented by Rep 1 Sports.
The details of this deal between the two agencies were not released but Sperbeck and Ryan Tollner are happy to be joining forces. Both Sperbeck and Ryan Tollner seem to have a similar approach and philosophy in how they approach the competitive industry of sports representation.
