Oakley has announced a partnership with Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver, JuJu Smith-Schuster. JuJu joins NFL MVP and Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes to be the first two NFL stars to join Team Oakley.
“I am laser focused on pushing my performance to the next level and having partners that embody that same thinking is very important to me,” said JuJu. “I am really excited to be a part of Team Oakley and work together to change the game – the sky is the limit.”
In a statement released by Oakley, “JuJu will support the brand’s revolutionary lens technology, Prizm, on and off the field. Oakley, a brand that offers leading optic innovations to support performance, is a natural fit for the receiver, as he constantly relies on his eye sight to spot and run top routes and make game changing catches.”
JuJu will wear Oakley’s Football Shield with Prizm Clear, and off-the-field, he will wear a range of lifestyle eyewear, including Frogskins Mix, Sutro, Apparition and more.
“We’re thrilled to welcome such an electric, young player like JuJu to Team Oakley,” said Gwen Van Lingen, Oakley’s Vice President of Sports Marketing. “From his sheer athleticism, dedication and passion to his individuality and energy, he is a perfect fit for the Oakley brand, and we are excited to support him with leading equipment on the field and iconic styles off the field.”
The former University of Southern California standout was drafted in the second round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2017 NFL Draft. After a breakout season in 2018 with 111 receptions, 1,426 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns, JuJu will enter the 2019 season as the Steelers’ number one wide receiver.
Oakley meets the performance of the world’s best athletes including Patrick Mahomes, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Aron Judge, Bubba Watson, Cloe Kim, Ryan Sheckler and more.
