Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyle Sloter has signed with Brian McLaughlin and AJ Vaynerchuk of VaynerSports. VaynerSports was founded by AJ and his brother, social media personality Gary Vaynerchuk. Their budding sports agency has been dubbed “the agency for the modern day athlete.” The third-year quarterback out of Northern Colorado now joins the growing client roster as he looks to accelerate his on and off-field success.
Sloter was recently released by the Minnesota Vikings, losing the backup quarterback job to Sean Mannion. He was quickly picked up by the Arizona Cardinals and added to their practice squad. Sloter has amassed quite the social media following due to his preseason success and dark horse career trajectory. Barstool Sports’ PFT Commenter contributed to Sloter’s name trending on Twitter when he started the popular hashtag, “SloterBoat.” Sloter has been hailed by many for his preseason statistics that rank with the best of them. He played the last two preseasons with the Vikings, and Denver Broncos, who originally signed him as an undrafted free agent out of college. In 12 career preseason games, Sloter has thrown for an impressive 11 touchdowns, 1,222 yards, and a 120.0 average passer rating with just 1 interception.
Expect VaynerSports representatives, in contingency with VaynerMedia, to milk Sloter’s online marketability. He has an impactful presence on social media, and VaynerSports is one of the best in that space. It looks like a great fit for Sloter and the two sides should form a rewarding partnership.
