As the NBA Draft approaches, albeit with some uncertainty, Nittany Lions senior Lamar Stevens has chosen his representation.
The 6’8″, 225 pound, Forward has signed with Los Angeles-based Rize Management. Rize was founded by Scott Nichols, who is a lawyer, and has deep basketball roots. Rize is a smaller boutique agency that “has made a concentrated effort to recruit only a few players a year.”
Stevens finishes his collegiate career fifth on Penn State’s all-time scoring list with 1,660 points in three seasons. Stevens played in all 31 games during the 2020 season, playing over 900 minutes and averaging about 17.6 points. He had a season high 33 points against Minnesota on February 8, 2020 and had a season high 13 rebounds against Wisconsin on January 11, 2020.
For his career, Stevens had two consecutive seasons where he scored at least 600 points, becoming only one of three Nittany Lions to do so. He also ranks 16th on the PSU rebound list all time and is tied for 9th in career scoring average, having tallied 16.0 points per game.
Rize has a long list of NBA players on its roster, and has represented the likes of DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s G-League team as well as James Ennis of the Orland Magic.
