The Florida Law Students Sports & Entertainment Law Council will be sponsoring a sports law discussion on August 4 from 12-1 PM EST, featuring attorneys Darren Heitner, Dan Lust, and Daniel Wallach.
Heitner, who created SportsAgentBlog.com in 2005, is a dual-Gator and the founder of Heitner Legal where he practices sports law, contracts, trademarks and copyrights. He is also an adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Lust, a graduate of Fordham University School of Law, is an associate for Goldberg Segalla where he is a member of the firm’s general liability and sports & entertainment practices. Lust is also a sports law contributor for Forbes.
Wallach, a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, is the founder of Wallach Legal where he specializes in gaming law and sports betting. He is the co-founding director of the University of New Hampshire School of Law’s Sports Wagering and Integrity Program. Wallach is also an adjunct professor of law at UNH School of Law and University of Miami School of Law.
Lust and Wallach host the popular sports law podcast Conduct Detrimental.
The Florida Law Students Sports & Entertainment Law Council consists of the Presidents of various sports & entertainment law societies throughout the state of Florida: Adrienne Brown (University of Florida), Angelica Prince (Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University), Daboyous Mosley (Florida Coastal University), Gabby Wright (Florida State University), Gabriel Torre (Stetson University), Jordana Rostant (Nova Southeastern University), and Josh Goldberg (Florida International University).
The panelist will discuss the many career paths in sports law, the latest legal problems in sports, and tips for networking and breaking into the industry. There will also be break out rooms where law students can connect and network.
