VaynerSports made a splash last week, signing female wrestling star Charlotte Flair for representation. Flair, the daughter of former wrestling legend Ric Flair, is a 10-time WWE champion and a two-time WWE NXT champion. As such, she has won the most titles among any woman in WWE history.
During her pro wrestling career, she has been a key fixture in the WWE spotlight. Her bout with Sasha Banks at WWE Hell in the Cell in October 2016 was the “first-ever WWE pay-per-view to be main-evented by a Women’s division match.” Flair, who played volleyball at Appalachian State before transferring to North Carolina State to finish her undergraduate degree, also headlined WrestleMania 35, which included participating in the first-ever women’s match that was the main event at WrestleMania.
Flair, 34, has a particularly strong following across her social media channels. She has 1.8 million followers on Twitter, 2.68 million followers on Facebook (1.55 million “likes”), and 4.3 million followers on Instagram.
VaynerSports was started by Gary and AJ Vaynerchuck in 2016. In its early years, the agency exclusively represented football players. Since then, however, they have expanded their clientele to include baseball players, MMA fighters, video game players and now, pro wrestlers.
