On To The Next One: C.J. Watson

C.J. Watson was undrafted coming out of the University of Tennessee and played overseas for Bipop Carire Reggio Emilia in Italy and PAOK B.C. in Greece before coming back to the United States to play in the NBA Development League.  Watson was the 5th overall pick in the 2007 D-League draft, taken by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.  In January 2008, he was called up to play for the Golden State Warriors.  The Chicago Bulls signed Watson last year, and he is still playing for the club.  While he has only started in one game this season, Watson has logged an average of 13 minutes per game.

Mike Higgins of The Higgins Group has had his work cut out for him between negotiating deals for Watson overseas, getting him looks by NBA teams, and finding him a home in the D-League before he was eventually called up to the Warriors.  However, Watson has decided that it is time for a change and has left Higgins for Jared Karnes of a3 (Allegiant Athletic Agency).  Watson joins a group of former University of Tennessee players represented by a3, including Chris Lofton, Wayne Chism, and Tyler Smith.
