Alex Tyus is a very intriguing professional basketball prospect. He really stepped his game up when it mattered most, racking up 19 points and 17 rebounds in the Florida Gators win against BYU in the NCAA Tournament and then 14 points and 10 rebounds in a tough loss to the Butler Bulldogs. Those 19 points against BYU came on 8-for-9 shooting. The 6’9 forward with a 41 inch vertical and 7 foot wing span certainly put himself on the map, and if he is able to reproduce that kind of product on the courts at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, NBA teams will be interested in seeing more.
Tyus has officially chosen who will be helping him reach the next level. He will have Happy Walters and Rogue Sports represent him. As someone who is not guaranteed to be a draft pick, Tyus will need Happy and his crew to promote Tyus’ strengths whenever given the chance to do so. I have no doubt that they will do a good job in that respect.
I look forward to hopefully watching this former Florida Gator perform in the future.
