SAB Spring Cleaning +1

Yesterday, we did some cleaning at Sports Agent Blog.  The right sidebar looks much more organized, with a new Facebook Like box, SAB Features section, and a new easy Email List subscription.  This Email List subscription is no different than the RSS Email option that existed in the past; if you sign up, you will get a daily digest of the posts published from the previous day.  You will never receive any sort of advertisement from signing up through the right sidebar.

Further, you may notice a brand new sharing button below the already existing Facebook Like and Twitter Tweet buttons on the left side of the page.  If you had not already been using the Facebook and Twitter buttons, I implore you to do so and become more active with the site.  The new button is at the bottom.  It is the brand new Google +1 feature that was rolled out by Google just yesterday.  By clicking the +1, you will be recommending the Sports Agent Blog story you are reading to your friends on Google search.  You will be doing your friends a favor by sharing with them content that you enjoy, and you will be helping us out by showing Google that we actually write decent stories around here.

Feedback is always welcome.

By Darren Heitner

Darren Heitner created Sports Agent Blog as a New Year's Resolution on December 31, 2005. Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.
