Early last month, I reported that Syracuse University senior guard Scoop Jardine signed with NBPA certified agent Terrance Doyle of Veritas Venture Group, LLC (VVG). Roughly a month later, Jardine has decided to leave Doyle (who has attracted some nice attention as a young agent signing NBA quality players) and sign with Tony Dutt of Dutt Sports Services, Inc. (DSSI), a basketball agency based in The Woodland, Texas.
Dutt represented three players selected in the 2011 NBA Draft – Markieff Morris, Marcus Morris, and Tyler Honeycutt – in conjunction with agency Rival Sports Group. Thus far, Dutt has signed Jardine and future lottery pick Thomas Robinson from Kansas. It is not surprising that the ultra-talented Robinson signed with Dutt; the aforementioned Morris brothers (from Kansas) decided to go with Dutt only a year prior.
