2012 Big Ten Conference Player Of The Year Luke Guthrie Signs With 1 Degree Sports

1 Degree Sports Management, a sports management practice based in Nashville, Tennessee has announced the signing of two-time All American golf prospect Luke Guthrie for representation.  Guthrie recently finished his senior season at the University of Illinois, where he won back-to-back Big Ten Individual Championships and was named the 2012 Conference Player of the Year.  He has played four tournaments since turning pro and recently had a runner-up finish on the Web.com Tour.

Guthrie’s endorsements will be managed by Mario Tiziani and Peter Webb at 1 Degree.  Guthrie has already signed deals with Ping and Acushnet brands Titleist and Footjoy, and he will wear Polo Ralph Lauren for apparel.  Tiziani and Webb expect the number of endorsements to increase in the near future.

“Luke was without question the most polished senior to join the pro ranks this summer,” Tiziani said. “Loads of talent, movie star looks and the most humble personality I have come across in 20+ years in the golf industry. With his potential, we expected him to do big things right away, so his performances as a pro so far are of no surprise.”
