Linebacker Jameel McClain has become an integral part of a stingy Baltimore Ravens defense.  But his path to becoming a starting linebacker in the NFL was not an easy one.  McClain defied the odds, which were heavily stacked against him, and established himself as a veteran in a league that is tough to get into and even harder to stay within.  He was never the biggest or most talented player, but had a burning desire and the passion to succeed and do better than what others expected from him.  The harsh realities he faced growing up made him one of the hardest working players to strap on a helmet.

A group called M-Vision Films documented McClain’s journey from humble beginnings to emerging as an impact linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens.  Embedded below is the video that M-Vision Films put together, which is 1 of 10 episodes in a series called “Declaring Destiny” that the group will create per season.  Each episode will profile a different athlete.  After watching the clip on McClain, I am excited to watch episode 2.
