Football agents Peter Schaffer and JR Rickert of Denver, Colorado-based Authentic Athletix has signed former Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein.  Klein holds the Kansas State single-season record for most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns for a quarterback.  He also was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2012, won the 2012 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and was a finalist for the 2012 Heisman Trophy.

Despite the numerous awards and accolades, NFLDraftScout.com only ranks Klein as the 13th best quarterback available in the 2013 NFL Draft and projects him to be a 6-7 round pick.  Klein will have his chances to prove draftnik’s wrong when he takes the field for the East squad in the East-West Shrine Classic in Tampa Florida.

Peter Schaffer, President of Authentic Athletix, had the following to say about his newest client: “His high character, mental toughness, ability to pass and run and record setting achievements in football mean Klein has an exciting future in the National Football League.”
