New York City-based full-service broadcasting and marketing representation firm, IF Management, has signed Jarron Collins (11-year NBA veteran) and Gregg Zaun (16-year MLB veteran) for broadcast work.  Gideon Cohen, IF’s Vice President of Sports Broadcasting, will represent both Collins and Zaun.

Collins went to Stanford from 1997-2001 before being a second round pick of the Utah Jazz in the 2001 NBA Draft.  He played with the Jazz the majority of his career, but also had short stints with the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, and Portland Trail Blazer.  During his playing career, he was represented by Arn Tellem of Wasserman Media Group.  “Jarron is a smart, insightful guy with a huge personality and a connection to both the college and professional games,” said Collins’ new agent, Gideon Cohen to Sports Agent Blog.  “We think he has a huge amount of potential in this new area of his life.”

Zaun made his Major League Baseball debut in 1995 with the Baltimore Orioles, and rarely stayed in one place for a long amount of time.  His longest stint with a single club was from 2004-08 with the Toronto Blue Jays.  Zaun did win a World Series; however, in 1997 with the Florida Marlins.  “Gregg has developed into the Don Cherry of baseball in Canada because of his big personality and strong opinions,” said Cohen.  “We all know that catchers can often make the best broadcasters – they have a unique understanding and involvement in the nuances of the game.”

Gregg Zaun is currently an analyst for Rogers Sportsnet.
