Henry Abbott, through his basketball blog True Hoop, is on a mission to provide more knowledge about basketball agent/client relations to the common man/woman. On October 3rd, Abbott announced the creation of the first publicly available online list of NBA players and their agents. The website is named TrueHoopWiki, and will attempt to cover other basketball agent issues such as: which college coaches tell their players to sign with what agents, do some agents have more influence than others on certain teams, etc.
I Want to be a Sports Agent plans to fully back the project and encourages any readers with beneficial information for TrueHoopWiki to contribute to the database. The dispersal of information that has been locked up in the hands of a select few for way too long is one of the goals of this website. If this site mentions a basketball player and his agent in the future, feel free to forward that information to the new wiki.

Thanks a lot for the support. With a decent number of people updating the wiki, this should be a source not only of information about agents, but also all the other important players in the business of basketball–sponsors, runners, coaches and the like. I’m looking forward to it.
