Todd Gurley, running back from the University of Georgia, has signed a Standard Representation Agreement with Roc Nation Sports. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Gurley will be represented by Ari Nissim.
Todd Gurley, a 6’1” 226 lb running back from Tarboro, NC, was a Heisman candidate prior to being named ineligible by the NCAA for receiving money for signatures. Gurley returned after missing four games but suffered a season ending torn ACL in his first game back. Even though he only played in 5 games in 2014, Gurley ran for 911 yards and had 9 rushing TD’s. While his injury hurt his draft stock, Gurley is still rated as the 2nd best available RB on NFLDraftScout.com and a borderline 1st round draft pick.
Roc Nation Sports was founded by Jay-Z in 2013 and has made a major splash in the representation industry since inception. Jay-Z strategically decided to create a partnership with talent agency CAA. Roc Nation now represents some of the biggest names in sports such as Robinson Cano, Kevin Durant, and Dez Bryant. Ari Nissim, former Director of Football Administration with the New York Jets, joined Roc Nation Sports back in November of 2013.
