Per a Tweet by the agency, former UCLA LB Myles Jack has signed with Octagon for his representation in the 2016 NFL Draft. The junior two-way star suffered an season-ending injury in September and decided to withdraw from UCLA and begin preparing for the NFL Draft.
This is an interesting move to many, including his former UCLA coach Jim Mora who has gone on the record saying that he believes it to be a risky move. The 6-1, 245-pound Jack was widely considered a sure-fire first-round pick before his injury and burst into the national spotlight as a true freshman in 2013 when he was a starting linebacker and situational running back. During his collegiate career he played inside and outside linebacker, cornerback, safety and running back. He has said that he is open to playing multiple positions in the NFL.
In the meantime, Jack plans on rehabbing and training with the goal of running through drills at next February’s NFL Combine. He will rehab in Los Angeles for the next several weeks before moving to Phoenix to continue his progress. Arizona Cardinals’ staff physical therapist, Brett Fischer, will oversee his recovery. Fischer has been credited with rehabbing the knee injuries of New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis and Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer.
Although withdrawing from the school, Jack plans to return to UCLA and complete his degree at some point.
