Arguably one of the biggest headlines in athlete representation last year was the firing of agents from Lagardère Tennis. The firm had lost two high profile clients in Eugenie Bouchard and Victoria Azarenka, and the CEO made the decision to replace several members of team.
During the reshuffle Sam Duvall resigned from his position as Vice President of Tennis. Sam has now launched his own management company, Topnotch Management, and has brought clients over from Lagardère to his new firm.
The most notable athlete on Topnotch’s roster is John Isner. Ranked 11th in the world, John is the USA’s top ranked men’s singles player. This week, Isner signed a multi-year apparel deal with Fila, having previously worn Lacoste. This new deal’s commissions should keep the company ticking over during it’s growth stages.
Other players to join the firm include Steve Johnson, Jeremy Chardy, Caroline Garcia and Denis Kudla.
Sam has also brought on Andrew Chmura as a Partner. The company’s main headquarters are based in New York.
