Per a Tweet from the company, Arkansas RB Alex Collins has signed with Kelli Masters Management for his representation in the 2016 NFL Draft.
The 5’11” 218 pound Ft. Lauderdale, FL native decided to forgo his final year of college eligibility and declare for this year’s draft. He is coming off a junior year in which he set a school record with 20 rushing touchdowns and was 12th in the nation in rushing yards per game.
Before the start of the 2015 season, the Razorbacks were expected to have one of the nation’s top running back duos in Collins and senior Jonathon Williams. After Williams suffered a season-ending injury in camp, all eyes turned to Collins as the main back. He did not disappoint and finished the season with 271 carries for 1,577 yards and his 20 touchdowns.
He became the third player in SEC history (Herschel Walker and Darren McFadden) to rush for 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons. He finished his college career with 3,703 rushing yards, 36 touchdowns and an average of 5.6 yards-per-carry for 665 attempts.
He is projected to be a 2-3 round pick and is the third rated running back according to NFL Draft Scout. He announced his intentions via an open letter to Arkansas fans.
