According to a press release from the company, Octagon announced a new North American marketing leadership structure, elevating four of its own industry veterans. John Shea, who was appointed president of the marketing and events business across the Americans earlier this year, has switched up his team to reflect the agency’s focus on helping its brand clients create opportunities across the sports landscape.
The changes he announced are as follows:
Derek Alframe and Arnold Wright have been named executive vice presidents, co-heads of consulting. The duo has a combined 30 plus years of experience working directly with Octagon’s largest brand clients and bring experience and insight to lead the agency’s client partners and a team of over 400 people across the United States.
Lou Kovacs has been named executive vice president, chief marketing officer of North America. He will continue to manage a portion of Octagon’s clients while overseeing its award-winning creative, digital and content practice. He will also lead the new business process and marketing of Octagon’s consulting and event services in the region.
AndrĂ© Schunk has been named executive vice president, mindset and culture. He will continue to oversee a diverse account portfolio and also focus on helping all of Octagon’s clients understand key consumer, commercial and technological trends while crafting solutions that anticipate and meet the needs of Millennial and Gen Z audiences.
Among Octagon’s expansive client list are top brands including: AB InBev, Allstate, Bank of America, BMW, Castrol, Cisco, Dannon, Delta Air Lines, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Harman/JBL, Johnson & Johnson, Kaiser Permanente, Mastercard, Sony PlayStation, Sprint, Taco Bell, The Home Depot and other category leaders.
