ABOUT THE SUMMIT
In conjunction with the Summit, EMA makes a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. More than 30,000 people are living with cystic fibrosis in the United States (more than 70,000 worldwide).
The CF Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, and nearly every CF-specific drug available today was made possible with their financial support. Through their efforts, the life expectancy of someone born with CF has doubled in the last 30 years.
