Shabbat Shalom: Friday Wrap-Up

Made my schedule for next semester earlier this week.  I had low priority because I did not take classes or earn externship credit this past summer.  Oh well, it’s not like UF Law offers any interesting classes anyway.  Here is my course load for next semester at this date: Corporations, Business Organizations, Legal Drafting, Antitrust, and International Human Rights.  I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Make sure to tell the ones that you love and all your friends how thankful you are for them to be a part of your life.  Being a head Playboy rep in Florida has its perks.  A big one is the ability to attend the Playboy Super Bowl Party when it’s in my home state.  Looks like it may be scrapped this year, though.  Such unfortunate news.  Anyway, here are some stories I missed over the past week:

Football

Baseball

Basketball

By Darren Heitner

Darren Heitner created Sports Agent Blog as a New Year's Resolution on December 31, 2005. Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.

Yeah yeah yeah…keep bragging my boy. I am quite jealous. UCLA has the good classes, beautiful women, and gorgeous weather. We’ll lend you some 21st century national championships…

Man, I’m stuck doing Professional Conduct, Negotiations, Remedies, Real Estate Transactions, and Legislation. Wish someone would throw in a sports law course at UNB!

I’ve actually already re-arranged my schedule. Dropped Business Organizations and Antitrust (will take Bus Orgs next year or in Summer) and picked up Copyright and Political & Civil Rights.
