Tennessee Tech (Steve Payne) (3-1) vs. East Tennessee Tech
Tennessee Tech just couldn’t get its shots to fall from inside, outside or anywhere in between Monday night and didn’t find an answer to the physical play of East Tennessee State in surrendering a 78-65 loss to the Bucs in Eblen Center in non-conference action. The Golden Eagles (3-1) were on the short end for the first time this season, while East Tennessee (3-2) moved above the .500 mark.

Marquette (Scott Monarch) (4-0) vs. Texas Southern
Jerel McNeal scored 20 points and Lazar Haywood added 18 to lead No. 15 Marquette to a 85-68 victory over Texas Southern on Tuesday night. Marquette (4-0) failed to score 100 points for the first time in three games as the Golden Eagles struggled at times in the first half against Texas Southern (0-4). Marquette, which had averaged a Big East leading 100.3 points in its first three games, ended up with 19 turnovers.
Louisiana-Lafayette (Robert Lee) (1-3) vs. Oral Roberts
The Ragin Cajuns narrowly defeated Oral Roberts by a score of 79-75. This was the schools first win of the season. They were led by forward Tyren Johnson, who scored 21 points and added 6 rebounds.
SE Missouri State (Rodney Hamilton) (1-3) @ Iowa
Iowa pounded Southeast Missouri State 75-41 on Tuesday night and improved to 5-0. The Hawkeyes led by double digits for the final 34 minutes en route to their most lopsided win of the season. Southeast Missouri State got as close as 13 early in the second half. But Tucker hit a 3 well beyond the line to cap a 19-6 run and put the Hawkeyes back ahead 54-28 with 9:44 left. Calvin Williams had 10 points to lead Southeast Missouri State (1-3).
Arkansas State (Elwyn McRoy) (3-1) @ Tennessee-Martin
Arkansas State cruised past UT-Martin 76-67 on their way to their third win of the season. The Red Wolves were led by Michael Lance, who came off the bench to score 13 points and add 5 rebounds.
UIC (Tracy Dildy) (2-2) @ Howard
Scott VanderMeer scored 13 points and blocked five shots as Illinois-Chicago defeated Howard 68-54 on Tuesday night. The Flames (2-2) forced 12 second-half turnovers to pull away after trailing by four at the half. Robo Kreps added 13 points and Josh Mayo had 12 for the Illinois-Chicago, which got its first road win of the season after outscoring the Bison 28-9 to begin the second half.
NCCU (Henry Dickerson) (0-4) @ Tulsa
Tulsa pounded NCCU on Tuesday night by a score of 92-52. Tulsa scored on its first four possessions and jumped out to a 17-3 lead in the first 5:04 against the Eagles (0-4), who are in their second year as an NCAA Division I program.
Savannah State (Horace Broadnax) (4-1) @ Clemson
Clemson cruised to an 81-49 victory over Savannah State on Tuesday night in a game between unbeaten Tigers. Savannah State (4-1) outscored Clemson 17-3 at the start of the second half to cut a 22-point halftime deficit to 44-36 with 14:40 remaining. But Clemson finished with a 31-9 run to put the game away.
