SE Missouri State (Rodney Hamilton) (2-3) vs. Longwood
Calvin Williams scored a career high 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Southeast Missouri State beat Longwood 81-77 Friday in the third round of the Las Vegas invitational tournament. Kenard Moore added 18 points for the Redhawks (2-3), who won despite blowing a 12-point lead in the last nine minutes.
#15 Marquette (Scott Monarch) (5-0) vs. Northern Iowa
As quickly as guard Dominic James could dribble up the floor at full speed, No. 15 Marquette ran off 20 straight points Friday night. Using a strong defense, a variety of shots and balanced scoring, the Golden Eagles used the first-half spurt to subdue Northern Iowa and roll to a 73-43 victory in the Chicago Invitational Challenge.
NCCU (Henry Dickerson) (0-5) vs. UNC-Wilmington
UNC-Wilmington beat North Carolina Central 79-64 Friday in the South Padre Invitational. Jamar Briscoe and Vincent Davis scored 15 points apiece to lead N.C. Central (0-5). The Eagles had 15 steals.

#15 Marquette (Scott Monarch) (5-1) vs. Dayton
The Flyers used their quickness and depth to beat No. 15 Marquette 89-75 in the final game of the Chicago Invitational Challenge. Marquette (5-1) was beaten at its own fast-paced game. The Golden Eagles got a career-high 28 points from Wesley Matthews and 19 points from Dominic James, but couldn’t keep up in the second half.
Savannah State (Horace Broadnax) (4-2) vs. Michigan
DeShawn Sims made a basket from the corner as time expired in overtime Saturday to rally Michigan to a 66-64 victory over Savannah State. Sims finished with 23 points and Manny Harris added 22 to lead the Wolverines (5-1). Raye Bailey and Anthony Jones had 19 and 13, respectively, for the Tigers (4-2) who led nearly all but three minutes of regulation.
Arkansas State (Elwyn McRoy) (4-1) vs. Ball State
Eric McKinney had 20 points and 16 rebounds as Arkansas State rallied to beat Ball State 54-53 on Saturday afternoon. JeJuan Brown added 11 points and six rebounds for the Red Wolves (4-1).

Oakland, Mich., defeated Southeast Missouri State 81-63 in the fifth-place game of the Las Vegas Invitational on Saturday. Calvin Williams and Jaycen Harning each led the Redhawks (2-4) with 18 points apiece. Kenard Moore added 15 points.
UIC (Tracy Dildy) (3-2) vs. Central Michigan
Josh Mayo had 20 points, including five 3-pointers, and eight rebounds to lead Illinois-Chicago to a 77-67 victory over Central Michigan on Saturday. Illinois-Chicago (3-2) led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter in a game that flip-flopped eight times. Scott Vandermeer had 17 points and nine rebounds while Tori Boyd came off the bench to add 17 points for the Flames.
NCCU (Henry Dickerson) (0-6) vs. Jackson State
Jackson State got a 69-49 win over North Carolina Central on Saturday at the South Padre Island Invitational. Jackson State (1-5) earned its first win of the season with stingy defense that limited the Eagles to 15-of-51 shooting from the field. In the first half, N.C. Central (0-6) shot just 19 percent from the floor and turned over the ball 13 times.
