FIU Law To Host Super Bowl Panel Of Super Agents

Florida International University’s College of Law will be hosting a panel this Thursday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m., to discuss the NFL’s “Rooney Rule” and minorities in the sports representation business.

The Rooney Rule is an NFL policy that requires league teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operations.

The panel will consist of NFL Agent and attorney Kelli Masters. Masters has represented more NFL players than any other female agent and was the first female agent to represent a first-round pick in 2010. She currently represents Redskins Pro Bowl punter Tress Way amongst other clients. NFL Agent Tony Richardson will also join the panel. Richardson, who received his MBA from FIU, works for Entourage Management. He represents Bills running back Devin Singletary amongst other clients.

FIU Law’s Sports, Entertainment, Fashion, and Art Law society, Women’s Law Society, and Black Law Student Association will be sponsoring the event.
