The Wasserman Media Group has announced Monday the additions of two new women’s golfers to its elite roster of athletes; Mel Reid of the LPGA and English amateur Alice Hewson.
Hewson will be represented by a team of agents out of Wasserman’s London office, while Reid will be represented out of Los Angeles.
Reid served as an assistant captain for the 2019 European Solheim Cup team, and played in the UL International Crown in 2016. In 2019 Reid earned her career-best LPGA Tour finish when she finished T-3 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
“Mel is a force on and off the course and a champion in every sense of the word,” said Cosette Chaput, Senior Director, Golf. “Her talent and drive, as well as her dedication to growing the game are unparalleled. She’s an incredible addition to Wasserman’s world-class representation of strong women in sports.”
At Clemson University Alice Hewson was a three-time first team All-ACC selection, and was the only player in Clemson history to have ever achieved that honor. Prior to her turning pro, Alice was as high as #16 in the WAGR rankings. She was Clemson University’s overall career leader in stroke average at 72.63.
“We are delighted Alice recently joined Wasserman,” said Brendan Taylor, Executive Vice President, Golf. “We closely followed her accomplishments as an amateur and were extremely impressed with her win at the South African Open, in her first professional start on the LET. She is an incredible talent and we look forward to helping her achieve her goals in professional golf.”
Wasserman has a strong golf division where they represent many highly-regarded pro’s such as Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau, Jennifer Kupcho, Viktor Hovland, and Morgan Pressel along with many other PGA Tour, LPGA, and European Tour stars. Wasserman will work hard to get sponsors for their sunday golf bag.
