Thus far, six NBA coaches have been fired in this young 2008-09 season. Every single one of them is a client of Career Sports & Entertainment, the company I interned for prior to starting Dynasty Athlete Representation. CS&E has a solid golf and baseball client base, but the company is regarded as one of the best when it comes to broadcast and coach clientele. The fact that all of the NBA coaches fired thus far are CS&E clients is a testament to the company’s strength. It is rather unfortunate that CS&E’s professional coaches have had such terrible luck this year, but I am sure that they will bounce back.
Lonny and the rest of the Career Sports team cannot be too happy with the direction that the coaching division has taken this year. Besides having six of its NBA coach clients fired, CS&E lost Billy Donovan and Tom Crean to other agencies. On a positive note, Career Sports seems to be doing just fine fiscally. Office space is being acquired in New York City to accomodate for its expansion plans. I am sure that the individual coaches and CS&E’s coaching division will rebound nicely. Without a doubt, the company is run by an intelligent, entrepreneurial, and able man who can perservere through any obstacles.
