Miami Hurricanes’ Quarterback D’Eriq King continues to wow the college football world with his monumental NIL deals. This time, King inked the first NIL deal with a professional sports franchise, the Florida Panthers and their “FLA Athlete” program. The Panthers play roughly miles from the University of Miami campus and ended a prolific-winning season with high potential for the coming year.
The Panthers is the first North American Sports franchise to offer a collegiate athletes to represent the brand based on their name, image, and likeness.
As the first athlete signed by the franchise, King will work directly with the Panthers’ marketing team, providing social media content for the team, as well as appearing at games and charity events. Additionally, King is expected to work with the Panthers in order to create concession and merchandise items for purchase.
King made headlines last month as he and teammate Bubba Bolden together signed the first NIL contracts with local company College Hunks Hauling Junk. King also has NIL agreements with companies including Panini, The Wharf Miami and Murphy Auto Group.
