Wasserman Spending Spree Continues With Acquisition Of Jet Sports

Wasserman has been on an acquisition spree over the past year. It recently acquired New York-based talent agency The Montag Group, rugby powerhouse Esportif, and golf management firm Mullhaupt Management. Its latest acquisition is a baseball agency, which was just announced this morning.

Wasserman’s baseball practice will expand with the acquisition of Jet Sports Management. B.B. Abbott, who founded Jet Sports, will be introduced as Executive Vice President and Managing Executive of Wasserman’s baseball division. Additionally, baseball agents Andrew Lowenthal, Al Goetz, Hank Sargent, Alex Ott, Tyler Pastornicky, and Blaise Salter will join #TeamWass.

Abbott founded Jet Sports 23 years ago and says that he has had numerous offers over the last two decades to acquire his firm, but it was not until he met the Wasserman team that he seriously considered this possibility.

Wasserman’s baseball division will be boosted by the introduction of many new clients represented by Jet Sports, including Byron Buxton, Matt Olson, Chris Sale, Zack Wheeler, Charlie Morton, Corey Kluber, Mike Zunino, Gavin Lux, Logan Gilbert, Mike Minor, Yan Gomes, Clay Holmes, Brad Hand, Ben Gamel, Daniel Hudson, Dane Dunning, Steve Cishek, David Phelps, Austin Gomber, Lane Thomas, and MLB legends Chipper Jones and Brian McCann.
