In honor of The Simpsons Movie coming out this Friday, I decided to do some research and see what athletes deserve to have guest appearances on the most successful cartoon of all time. This is what I came up with:
O.J. Simpson – Ex-Running Back for the Buffalo Bills and San Fransisco 49ers.
Homer Bailey – Pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds.
Marge Schott – Former President/CEO of the Cincinnati Reds.
Bartolo Colon – Pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels.
Kyleigh Milhouse – Women’s Cross Country runner at Navy.
Mike Burns – Pitcher for the Boston Red Sox.
Dana Flanders – Forward/Defense for Cornell Men’s Soccer.
Al Skinner – Head Coach of Boston College Men’s Basketball Team.
Moe Williams – Ex-Running Back for the Minnesota Vikings.
Otto Graham (rhymes with Otto Mann) – Ex-Quarterback of the Cleveland Browns.
Ty (Chief Wiggum) Wigginton – Infielder for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Willie Berry – Groundskeeper for the Houston Astros.
Scott Dohmann – Pitcher for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Chris Duffy – Center Fielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Add any other names that you think would fit into The Simpsons theme in the comments section. And if you want to see a list of athletes that have actually made cartoon appearances on The Simpsons, the San Jose Mercury News has you covered [Eat my sports: athletes and `The Simpsons’].
-Darren Heitner (not a good Simpsons name)
