Dynasty Representing Media Darling, Tom Smallwood

Dynasty Athlete Representation is pleased to announce that it has signed a representation agreement with Tom Smallwood.  Dynasty will represent Smallwood in all of his business affairs related to his status as a professional bowler.  Luckily, it seems as if we will have our hands full.

Tom Smallwood recently went from a “nobody” to the hottest name in sports.  Roughly one-year ago, he was laid off from his job on an assembly line at General Motors.  The job description included making seat belts for extended cab trucks.  Right now the 32-year-old rookie is tied for the lead in the PBA (Professional Bowling Association) Player of the Year points race.  He became the co-leader in points by beating reigning PBA Player of the Year, Wes Malott, to win the PBA World Championship on December 13, with a 244 score in the final round of the event.  That victory also earned Smallwood $50,000.  No more need for GM to pay the bills.

Since winning the PBA World Championship, Smallwood has been covered in the USA Today, Associated Press, AOL.com’s financial website dailyfinance.com, CNN Headline News, the TV news magazine Inside Edition, ESPN2’s First Take, Detroit Free Press and Detroit News, Saginaw News, Flint Journal, WDIV-TV and WJRT-TV in Detroit, WKOW-TV, Keglers Corner on KFNS sports radio (St. Louis), Let’s Go Bowling (Clearwater, Fla.), and WWPV radio in Burlington, Vt.

There are more media appearances to come and many companies hoping to become a part of the Smallwood story.  Thus, Smallwood has retained Dynasty, the leading sports agency in the world of bowling, to represent him for endorsements, appearances, speaking engagements, possible films, and much more.

We found a clip of the final round of Tom Smallwood’s PBA World Championship win.  It is embedded below.
