Having finals to study for allows me to stay home and watch the big Saturday night games. Pittsburgh beat WVU in West Virginia and Oklahoma has less than 10 minutes left before the Sooners pull off a big win against Mizzou.
Here are my early BCS predictions:
- BCS Championship – Ohio State vs. LSU
- Rose Bowl – Illinois vs. USC
- Sugar Bowl – Georgia vs. Kansas
- Orange Bowl – Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia
- Fiesta Bowl – Oklahoma vs. Hawaii
And as for my Florida Gators…it looks like they are heading to the Capital One Bowl against Michigan.
I am probably way off on these predictions, but don’t hate me for having some fun. Leave your predictions below.

Where’s WVU in your BCS bowls? They are the Big East champs so they have to be there.
I just amended the predictions and put WVU in the Orange Bowl against Virginia Tech and pulled Arizona State out of the Fiesta Bowl, putting Hawaii in their place. Moved Kansas to play Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.
It is almost a lock that it will be Oklahoma Vs. Kansas in the Fiesta Bowl according to everyone from the Ku media
Big 12 vs. Big 12 in a BCS bowl? Very un-sexy.

Sugar Bowl Georgia vs. WVU
Rose Bowl USC vs. OU
Fiesta Bowl, Kansas vs. Hawaii
Orange Bowl Va Tech vs. Missouri
Big 12 champion staying in Fiesta. I don’t see OU going to Rose Bowl. Matter of fact, I don’t see any Big 12 team playing in Rose Bowl. As Jessie Palmer (correctly) stated, the Rose Bowl will be very hesitant to move away from their standard Pac 10 vs. Big 10 matchup. Illinois should move up to about the #12 spot when the next BCS rankings come out. And I think that they would put up a pretty good game against USC.
Washington is currently up 21-0 against Hawaii in the 1st quarter. This could obviously change everything.

Can’t wait to see how this all settles tomorrow. I am really excited to see if Hawaii comes back against Washington. I’ll check back in tomorrow morning!
Florida can’t be in, it would be the third SEC team.
KU fan here thinking more and more like the Jayhawks will be in the Sugar Bowl.
We have not had this much confusion since USC, OU , and Aubrun all went undefeated.

I never understood why there are so many bowls and not one definite winner? I’m sure there is a reason.
First of all anyone who had 3 teams in the BCS from the same conference is wrong there can only be 2 teams from each major conference unles nobody else is close and this is how its going to be

Just woke up and wow…Hawaii came back to win. I don’t see how you could not include them in a bowl game after a perfect season. There was tons of talk last year about LSU dropping their Sugar Bowl invite to play in the Rose Bowl…that obviously didn’t happen. It’s a bold move to drop your conference’s bowl ties (i.e. SEC – Sugar Bowl) to play in a different BCS bowl. I just don’t see Georgia going to the Rose Bowl.
After Hawaii won, FL is back to Capital One Bowl against either Illinois or Michigan. I still think Illinois has a legit chance at getting that Rose Bowl bid. Oklahoma vs. Kansas is a definite possibility in Fiesta Bowl, I just still think it’s very dry. ASU may squeak in to play in the Fiesta Bowl, but I doubt they make it to the Sugar.

Think Georgia has to be in a game as a top four in the BCS. Guess WVa could go to Fiesta and put UGa in Orange.
If LSU somehow doesn’t get in the title game, I would have to think that Virginia Tech or USC would have a better shot than Oklahoma.

WOW I JUST SAW THE SELECTION SHOW AND I AM SOO MAD LSU SHOULDNT BEIN IT THEY SHOULD BE AT LEAST A 4 LOSS TEAM BUT O WELL. SUPRISINGLY YOU ARE VERY CLOSE IN YOUR PICKS. I THINK MISSOURI SHOULD BE IN INSTEAD OF KANSAS BUT I CANT CHANGE ANYTHING… 🙁
I am a little surprised that West Virginia is playing in the Fiesta Bowl. I thought that VT vs. WVU would’ve made for a great Orange Bowl. Oh well. Oklahoma vs. WVU will be decent, although Oklahoma should spank them.

the orange bowl couldn’t pass up kansas, a team with a significant alumni and huge fan base that hasn’t been to a major bowl since 1969? or a wvu team with a moderate alumni and average fan base that is coming off the most disappointing performance in wvu history?
