Interview With SportsTechNow

Sports and TechnologySportsTechNow is a new site that discusses sports websites and blogs on a daily basis and promotes sports technology news. Its founder, asked if I would be interested in doing an interview about starting SportsAgentBlog.com. After using some water torture techniques, I acquiesced.

Check out the interview. Joe (the writer of SportsTechNow) is pretty nice in his comments following the interview. However, he rips me hard on this site’s header image. I’ll leave it to you all. Is it time to change the image? Is it ugly with its overlapping words? Or do you equate it with this site and would hate to see it gone? Also, we plan on changing the entrance page to Dynasty shortly. Overall, I give thanks to Joe for conducting the interview and wish him tons of success with his site.

Darren Heitner created Sports Agent Blog as a New Year's Resolution on December 31, 2005. Originally titled, "I Want To Be A Sports Agent," the website was founded with the intention of causing Heitner to learn more about the profession that he wanted to join, meet reputable individuals in the space and force himself to stay on top of the latest news and trends.

Heitner now runs Heitner Legal, P.L.L.C., which is a law firm with many practice areas, including sports law and contract law. Heitner has represented numerous athletes and sports agents as legal counsel. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University Bloomington from 2011-2014, where he created and taught a course titled, Sport Agency Management, which included subjects ranging from NCAA regulations to athlete agent certification and the rules governing the profession. Heitner serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he teaches a Sports Law class that includes case law surrounding athlete agents and the NCAA rules.

I agree with Joe about your header, and the splash page on Dynasty Reps is a waste of time. For the header, I think this could be a good time to change it, as I think a well-designed header would make the site look more professional, which only helps your credibility, and it could give people a logo/image they would associate with the site.
