My take
Cam Newton is one of the most dynamic football players to ever grace the football field. What he accomplished last season alone rates him as an all-time great. Newton has all the potential in the world yet there are some obvious red flags in his projection to the next level. He has some minor character concerns but he is a good kid who seems to understand the importance of hard work. A bigger issue is him having never really taking snaps from center and not being an incredibly polished passer. He tends to put too much on passes that require more touch. With that being said he does have a very strong arm and can make all the throws. He has underrated accuracy and can fit the ball into tight spots if needed. A team will have to have a strong running game and a strong support system to suit his freelancing style. A west coast team is most likely out of the question (unless they can afford to be patient with him). Teams like Cincinnati, Arizona, or Minnesota would be great fits. I have him graded as a top 15 pick and he could go as high as #1 overall.
