So you just sent in the paperwork to form an LLC. Your agency is going to be a legitimate entity in your state and you start thinking outside of the box. Sure, you will offer your clients contract negotiation expertise, marketing and endorsement opportunities, etc., but what will separate you from the pack? What can you offer that is not being offered already by the superpower agencies?
Also, how can you develop your agency’s website to be Web 2.0 compliant? (I am obviously interested in this question)
I would like to hear some of your answers. Please leave some comments!

Longest sentence eva!
Seriously though…first off, are you going to play at Rutgers? It’s wise to have a back-up plan (or six or seven) because no matter how good you think you are, your odds of playing at the next level are slim. That’s not to discourage you, that’s just being pragmatic.
At this point I’d tell you what I tell everyone else who asks me and what I try to do everyday myself. Network as much as you can, try and intern and work in the industry, and keep your eyes and ears open for new opportunities.
As for a major, pick something you enjoy.
If you are being recruited by Rutgers, and seriously thinking about attending send me an email and I can give you soe advice.

As for now, the first thing I would do is start working on your grammer.
Jason-
It’s funny that right before you smoked the kid for his grammer you mispell “some” with “soe”
Practice what you preach my friend.
If we’re going to be picky you both need work. It’s “grammar” not “grammer” last time I checked Jason and Tanner. But this isn’t a writing workshop.
First, it is grammar — not grammer. So you both need to practice what you preach.
Second, the advice I have is to read the entire blog starting on December 31, 2005.
Darren will handle everything else.
I apologize for the spelling mistake. I do not think it’s a question of grammar as much as me not bothering to proofread what I wrote, but nonetheless it is hypocritical of me.
But as Lachlan said, this isn’t a writing workshop…
Don’t fret, I’m working on WritingWorkshopBlog.com – I Want to be a Grammar Stud.
Good Evening to you guys
It is interesting to read your mail and that of the Web Managers’.
Should there be any soccer and or rugby players interested in advice, I am available to advice those persons via this site.
Stay Healthy, Strong and Blessed.

Baron-
Glad to see you visiting all the way from South Africa. Can you please add what your background is?
My Background
I have been an athlete since a young age. Participated predominantly in Soccer, Athletics and Rugby. Soccer was my first choice and still my first love. I played association football(soccer) from under 10 to senior level, used my participation in athletics to beat opponents; and through athletics was invited to play rugby on the wing.
In soccer, I played right-back, right-wing or right of the midfield and then centre-forward. I was the highest goal scorer at my amateur club which then assisted me in trialing for a professional team, Pretoria City in 1995. But however accepted a full scholarship to the United States in 1996, so I prepared for that instead.
Returned in 1998, not completing my scholarship but I believe GOD had a plan, today I am married to my then girlfriend, Amanda Phillips and we have two children; Cade Liam Phillips (8 years old) and Raeven Mya Phillips (18 months).
I am currently employed as a Station Commander at the Metro Fire Department, and still continue to be involved in sport, now in a more professional manner, in the form of Player Representation. I hold a Coaching License in Soccer (Uefa B-equivalent), Sport Management Diploma and currently am a second year Law Student at the University of Kwazulu-Natal.
With that, I too am looking to network and learn from other established Agents and how they succeed at their passion which is similar to that of mine in representing athletes.
My goal is to one day transform professional sport in Africa, starting in South Africa, and to have Black Business recognized as businessman and not just visitors to the Sports Industry and particuarly in the area of Representation.
Thank You

Took you long enough to respond! 🙂 Anyway, I think that this site is a great place for you to network. Also, within the next week, I am launching AccessAthletes.com with Matthew Allinson, which will be exactly what you are looking for in terms of networking.
Black businessmen are being recognized in this industry. I am friendly with quite a few of them. I believe that our generation will definitely see an influx of more black agents and women agents.
Hello. I am an international female rugby player. I have played the sport for almost 11 years now. I have played in 2 IRB World Cups and was recognized, at the conclusion of each, as one of the top players in the World. I have been featured on Oxygen during it’s special some time ago on the US Women’s Rugby Team and StreetGames (a production on SNY this past fall). I have been recognized on some accounts as the most successful rugby player from the US. I am looking for someone who will step up and work with me as an agent. I know that I have a look, the personality, the resume, and the athletic ability to draw people in. Any takers? You have absolutely nothing to lose and the world to gain, atleast that’s how I see it. I REALLY NEED A SPORTS AGENT!!!!!!!!!
