On To The Next One: Deron Williams (Update)

On June 9, 2011, I wrote that New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams officially parted ways with agent Bob McLaren.  At the time, many people believed that Williams would sign with Leon Rose of Creative Artists Agency (CAA).  However, later that day I heard that Williams was also considering Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management to replace McLaren.

Over the weekend, Marc Stein of reported that Williams has chosen Schwartz of Excel Sports Management as his new agent.  Excel Sports also represents big names like Blake Griffin, Paul Pierce, Lamar odom, Kemba Walker, Kevin Love, and Tyson Chandler.
