Bloomberg’s Expansive Video Profile Of Scott Boras

Earlier this week, Bloomberg aired a fantastic profile of baseball super-agent Scott Boras.  Bloomberg highlighted everything from Boras’ early days growing up on a farm and listening to baseball on the radio up to negotiating some of the biggest contracts in the MLB.  Great stories include Boras’ own negotiation with the St. Louis Cardinals when he was drafted, his negotiations concerning his first client (Tim Belcher), the work that Boras did for Greg Maddux, and the unbelievable 10-year deal he helped procure for Alex Rodriguez.

If you do not have time to watch the roughly hour long video today, make sure that you save this page for the weekend. This is certainly a must watch for anyone who frequents this website. Enjoy.

Awesome! Scott Boras really has the talent. I think this career is really for him. He got the skills to be  good player in his days and today the abilities to talk to prominent people, the gift of being able to communicate effectively. These are among the skills needed for us to succeed in our chosen field of interests just like Boras 🙂

This really changed my opinion on Boras. I always did think of him as a Cash-Hungry fiend. This made me realize that he really wants his players to be happy, and give them every opportunity to do that. Some players do want top-dollar, but some players want something else, and Boras understands that. As he says, he represents his players, and will fight to give them what they want and deserve.
