Basketball Agent Corey Dean Signs Kentucky’s Eloy Vargas and Division II Travis Hyman

South Florida-based basketball agent Corey Dean has signed basketball players Eloy Vargas and Travis Hyman.  Dean is a graduate of Florida State University.  In 2010, he started his own company, Insight Sports Management.  Soon thereafter, he went on to partner with a company named UMG Global (where he is the Vice President), which is a sports agency that was started by Juan Morrow, a former employee of FAME and David Falk.

Eloy Vargas is a 6’11”, 235lb Power Forward who played at Kentucky University this past 2011-2012 season on their NCAA National Championship team.  He originally signed with the University of Florida out of high school, but due to injury he missed 11 games and received limited playing time. Following his time at the University of Florida, Vargas decided to attend Miami Dade Junior College where he became one of the top JUCO players in the nation. Next, Vargas decided to sign with the University of Kentucky where he received limited minutes playing behind Josh Harrelson last year and Anthony Davis this year. Now, Vegas is preparing to play on the Dominican National team this summer where he will be coached by John Calipari and will play alongside Al Horford and Jack Michael Martinez.

Travis Hyman is a 7’0”, 245lb Center out of Division II Bowie State University.  Hyman is one of the few Division II players that received an invite to Portsmouth Invitational Tournament and the New Jersey Group Workout.  DraftExpress.com currently ranks Hyman as the #87 ranked senior.  Hyman is the 2009-2010 CIAA Defensive Player of the Year and 2011-2012 CIAA Defensive Player of the Year.
